Is an aftermarket Allison possible?

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MY TRUCK (94 7.3L TURBO IDI) TO HAVE AN AFTERMARKET ALLISON? SINCE I know it's not the original tranny....sorry caps. I'm trying to figure out if my mechanic is truthful in telling me that the truck (new to me) has an allison still under warranty.

One thing that has gone wrong with current transmission is the Electronic Shift Plate which was covered under warranty...if that gives anyone a clue as to what this tranny is I would really appreciate it.....

They came with allisn five speeds in buses, but they were heavy and not quite geared right for a light truck. So, yes, it's possible, but unlikely.
