ive been getting different responses from tire stores and the junkyards, id like to put a set of 06 4x4 lariat rims on my truck. ive been told it doesnt fit, someone told me the new body rims wont fit ours but ours will fit on the new body. and ive been told yes they fit. I saw a truck like mine but blue with new body style rims so i know it can be done i thought about maybe getting some wheel spacers to get the rim out far enough to clear the giant hub. thats my idea let me know if anybody has done this

By looking at your avatar I'll assume you have an OBS and I will have to say they wont fit. For one the bolt pattern is different. In 1999 Ford went to a metric pattern of 8x170mm. Then in 05 Ford changed the suspension on the superduty which changed the backspacing on the wheels. The wheels from the 05-06 will not fit on a 99-04 truck unless you use a 2" spacer. There are some 6061 billet spacers being sold on ebay for $99 a pair, but I find it difficult to trust my life on ebay aluminum. Maybe the superduty rotors can be adapted to the OBS giving you the right bolt pattern, and then you could use spacers to achieve what you want. I have seen threads where guys have upgraded the rear drums on the OBS to superduty discs. I don't know if its possible on the front though. By the time you got all of your parts and paid what people are asking for 05-06 takeoffs I think you would be better suited with some aftermarket wheels that may look better anyway.

They will not fit 97 Body style. 97 Lug Pattern 8 on 6.5, 99 Superduty on up 8 on 170 MM!! Unless you have had the Axles Changed! or some kind of Wheel adapter.

for a 2wd the lift kits are going to be essentially non existant for the OBS 2wd trucks. the Lifting of 2wd trucks especially heavy trucks is a newer fad than our trucks.
