Hey
I am looking at a couple trucks that are from Alberta here in Manitoba. They were probably used for hauling crews back and forth to the oil fields. The one I like most is a 2010 F350 XLT short box with 200,000km on it for $20,000. The question I need to know is if that is a lot of Kms for a diesel truck? So I don't know how many more Kms I will get out of it if I'm hauling thousands of pounds everyday(using truck for landscaping). And yes I realize that is a lot of Kms but I don't know much about diesels and if they can get up to a higher mileage.

200,000 km is NOT a lot for any diesel truck that has been maintained. You should be able to go another 200,000 more before it will need a new or rebuilt engine. The tranny will go before the engine. Maintenance is the key to good engine life in any engine.

Dave :)
