Sound like a junkyard run coming.
that's kinda the point.. nothing existed on the left side... thing was just flat gone.. no note, no sianora roundeyes, no nothing...
just the lever dangling off the end of the cable...
biggest b*tch of it is.. the backing plates aren't available from anywhere but Ford, that I found..
and Ford only offers them as fully assembled and ready to install..
so I guess the saving grace is, the hundred bucks I spend at NAPA on shoes, hardware, and adjuster screws, I can take back..
and trade it for the LR caliper, to replace the one that has a stuck piston...
Check the slide pins that the caliper bolt to while you're in there. I had mine sieze twice, once on the front, once on the rear, causing some ugly things. After that every time I did anything around the brakes, I checked the slide pins were lubed and freely moving. Expensive lessons.
FWIW, I never do anything on just one side when it come to brakes. If I have the brake on one side apart, the other side on that axle is getting looked at also.
You will need a bank note to pay for the parts.
Sounds like you're spending on repairs isn't more than a month or 2 of my payments, so I say your good. 13 year old truck? Suck it up man
they are avaiable aftermarket(up here anyway).......if i remember correctly, u have to go through Carquest and about 80.00 Cdn a piece......been looking at them for my truck.

looked at those.. no levers.. still screwed.
When mine rusted out, my mechanic found this out and got peeved. Called someone he knew in the service center and was somehow able to get just the backing plates. So I suppose if you have a trusted mechanic who is in good with someone, they can be had.
