P/s Pump

Installed a new p/s pump today and pump is making noise like air in the line.
System has hydroboost. What is the best way to to bleed the this type of system. I turned the wheels back and forth for about 5 min. but the noise didn't stop.

Did you fill it to the full mark running or with the engine off? If you did it with the engine off, as soon as you start it, th fluid will disappear because of the air in the system.... and when you shut the engine back off, the air will push the fluid back into the reservoir making it look like the system is full. Try filling it about 1/2 way up the reservoir neck with it running, steering lock to lock and apllying the brake pedal..... this will purge the system.

Let me break out the PS pump flush kit,I'll take some photos and explain what you need for the task. The wife snagged my Nikon for her business trip and won't be back for a couple weeks so my camera phone will have to do.
