I had my leaf spring bushings changed yesterday to Energy Suspension's polyurethane bushings. My mechanic was NOT a happy camper; He said the job was brutal. The old ones were toast after 223K. So recently I've replaced my ball joints, upgraded to Bilsteins and now have my suspension back to better than new. I'll report back after I put on a few miles to notice an improvement.

That's why mine are still sitting in my tool box...We started it once and my b-i-l (owns a shop) opted out once we got it in the air and started looking at it. He wanted to think it over some more. This was when Quadzilla was still in the area. I'm hoping to get it done by the end of the year so I'm shaming him into helping me to do it...(I don't have a garage so I'm telling him I'm going to have to do it in the driveway...in the gravel...in the rain...under a tarp  )

I'm jealous Richard.

I'm not done yet...:D I ordered polyurethane bushings for my track arm. I know they're worn out too. That will complete my poly retrofit.

ORU does not recommend putting them in the track arm. They say there is not enough flex in the poly to allow the suspension to move freely. I have them in my shackles and springs and the only thing I don't like is sometimes they squeak a little. Seems like after they got a year of two old they quit squeaking as much.

Crumm, I looked at ORU's site and couldn't find their recommendation. I don't have ORU reverse shackles or a lift so I'll be your guinea pig. I was told that poly cab bushings would make my ride stiff. I love 'em. I was told that poly sway bar bushings would help my cornering control and stability. They did. I was told that poly leaf spring bushings would make my suspension more responsive. They did. I find it hard to believe that poly track arm bushings would not improve my suspension. Here are my choices: Leave the worn OEM bushings in the track arm, replace with new OEM bushings or replace with poly. I'll give you some first hand feedback once they're in.
