Howdy All,
First I hope I am posting this in the right area. Second I have a picture of my truck that I really like and want to use it as my avatar. The problem I seem to be having is that the picture is to big. How do I compress it to meet the requirements? I think it has to be 19.5 KB and it is well over that.
Appreciate the help,
Craig

hheynows instructions should get you rolling Craig. Unless you already have a decent photo editor on your puter just down load irfanview and resize the pic. When you save it, save it as a lower quality also. I think irfanviews "quality-o-meter" is on a scale form 0 to 100. For web purposes you can save in that 25 range and still have a very viewable image.

Ok I must be an idiot because I have followed the directions and when I click browse to go get my saved image and click on it I get a mesage that says "Not a vaild image file". right now the file named are 100_127.bit and my truck.bit I have tried to save as a jpeg, but when I click back on to it when browsing I get the same message as above. As always I will appreciate any and all help concerning this. I want to see my truck next to my name. I know, I know...........vanity......vanity........vanity.
Thanks,
Craig

Its got to be saved as a ".jpg" file extension. Make sure you are not trying to "save", you must "save as".
