I have some amber flashing lights in my truck. As it is right now, I have them wired to the upfitter switches. I like this, except, there are times that I would like to be able to run the lights without the key in the on position. Is there a way to jump the relay, and still use the upfitter switches, so that I can use my lights with the switches? I am not worried about them running down the battery, since they are all LED's and the longest I may have them on is an hour.

you could just run battery power to the switch rather than ignition power. or is the relay being supplied by ignition, then you could swap that for battery power, and the switch, and the lights will work whenever you want.

That means cutting into the harness, and I really do not want an aw, sh.. moment with my trucks wiring harness.

I tried a jumper from the hot side to the lead side and kept blowing the fuse. Grr. I would think that there would be a way to do it by taking out the relay.
