My new 04 Excursion has a step in the heater temperature control that I question.

When setting the temperature in heat mode the control moves in 1 degree increments down to 65 degrees. At that point it jumps down to 60 degrees for the next setting. Is this normal? I ask this because 65 is too hot and 60 is not enough heat

I'll never understand why Ford engineered the EOTC to bottom out at 60 degrees especially for summer weather. The EOTC can be finicky at times operational wise with some Excursions.
