Towing noob, kinda.

Just picked up my 08 F450 yesterday and I'm loving it! I plan on towing a lot in order to save on shipping costs. (I'm in the lumber/pallet industry. My ideal set up would be a 40ft goose neck and a nice fifth wheel. My truck came with the factory brake controller but I really don't know how to use it . Will the factory EBC cope well with a 40ft trailer loaded with 30k lbs?

Yes, these brake controllers work very well with any trailer you would want to tow. They are top flight units.

Some of these brake controllers don't work well with some disk brakes on trailers,
I had to change out the Hydraulic Actuator on my fifthwheel to get them to work
right with my truck. If you have electric trailer brakes, you may be fine.
