I used the heck out of my EBV exhaust brake this last weekend hauling hay. Think that may of cause the exhaust restriction? Any ideas how to get around it?
Thanks for the explanation :sweet

i get this code from making to much boost.try a pop off value or a air regular set at about 20 psi.
pulling hay you could easly just made to much boost up a hill or just getting out of the feild. just my 2 cents

same as you.about 22-24lbs.something like that.the reg /pop off lets you make more boost by fooling the map/computer.when i get that code now i get other codes with it.from running to hard

Hey Tubzz, I don't think I have ever seen that code when I checked for any. Is that code eliminated the next time you cycle the key? I think I'm gonna check for it this weekend.

Isn't anyone using a zener diode (on the MAP sensor) on the early PSDs? That would seem like the esasiest way to fool the PCM if you are able to make that much boost.

There are some guys running a map simulator to fool the computer. It's one of the DIY self electronics mods not something that I've seen in production.

The easiest way is the popoff valve. this allows the engine to make all the boost it wants to and keeps the map from seeing too much boost. and from start to finish it might take you 5 min to install it and that's including the drink to go with the job.
