vacuum pump gone south

hey guys... been goin around for the last couple of days with the blower stuck on defrost and 4x4 not engaging. so today i had the day off and did some searching. i looked for the obvious such as a vacuum line popped off somewhere. since i didnt see any lines astray, we checked all fuses. finally, i said to my buddy, well hey, lets just put 12v to the pump itself and see if we can hear any leaks. well.. come to find out, there was no continuity with a multimeter nor did it wake up with 12v applied.

long story short... should i go to the dealer under warranty (i have no mods so theres nothing to hide)... or should i just buy a new vac pump and put it on myself... since i trust my work and i dont have time for the truck to sit there all day.

if the option is to do it myself, can anyone lead me to a site that sells one? ive tried powerstrokeshop.com but nothin found.
