I have a question. My niece's new boyfriend and I went to look at a truck today to kind of take my mind over loosing Bond. We looked at a F250 with a turbodiesel. The info on the windshield didn't state what year. The taillight lens had "89 in it. Thank Keith

did the badges on the truck say "turbo diesel" or did they just say "diesel"

If it is truely an 89 then it would be an IDI diesel engine.

'93 is still pre-PSD, so it will be an IDI 7.3 L turbo diesel. Nothing wrong with them at all if they were maintained well. Be sure if he is interested in buying it that you check the DCA levels in the coolant and if possible get ahold of the previous owner(s) and se if they kept an eye on the coolant situation as well.
