Wheel offset differences between pre 04 and post 04?

I've been looking at newer style take offs for my 01 F350 and some of the sites say that there is an offset difference between 99-03 and 04+. Does anyone know what it is? My guess is the wheels of the newer trucks have less offset than the older ones. Anyone have any pics of newer rims on the original style Super Dutys?

The 03 and 04 wheels are the same. The trucks are indentical.

I think I see where you're trying to go with your '01.

You want to put on bigger wheels and you're wondering which stock wheels will just bolt on? I, too, would be interested in knowing what else has the correct bolt pattern and offset, as I have a '99 and I would also like bigger wheels.

99-04 are the same 4 1/2" back spacing 05 and up are 5" and will rub the springs on the older trucks.

Thanks for the info. I guess the bolt patterns are also the same 99-04?

What were the tallest wheels that were available for those model years?

I may start looking to replace my tiny 16" stock wheels.

The bolt pattern is all the same 8X170 mm As far as aftermarket rim size the sky is the limit. If you want ford rims I think the harleys had 20s in 04 and I think bama has the 18" svt rims you could ask him. Hope that helps.

I want some Harlry 20" take-offs for mine, just don't want to pay the $1000.00 price on ebay. Could you put some spacers behind the later model wheels? and longer studs?

I guess but I have never trusted wheel spacers. Just keep an eye out sometimes deals pop up.
