i remember reading a while ago on the 'other' site that there was what amounts to a ‘magic’ steering wheel adjustment nut/bolt somewhere? anyone know where it is or have a picture of it?
i.e. if my alignment is 100% dead on but the steering wheel is still slightly / or \ you can turn this nut/bolt to make the wheel dead – (level)

thanks

The only way I can think of to make such an adjustment is between the steering box and the steering mechanism (tie rod & steering knuckles). There should be an adjustment sleeve (other than that on the tie rod) with a clamp on either end. If you loosen the clamps and turn the adjusting sleeve as needed to straighten the steering wheel and then retighten the clamps, you should be good to go.

I've done this on older vehicles...

use steering wheel puller to pull wheel off shaft...
put back on loosely...drive in a straight line (safely)
allow vehicle to settle... and pull wheel and spin to correct then tighten down...
