thanks for the help

have you checked w/ the manufacture ? have you tried to
figure out if theres any difference between the pcm's for
your year and the year that the "chip" is in now ?

have you tried google ?

its hard to help you when you dont provide info about the truck
that the chip is comin' out of ! provide vague details...expect
vague responses.

if you can afford to buy another pcm or have a spare one (that
you know works) give it a shot...but if i were you id be doin'
ome SERIOUS checking for model year differences and id contact
the chip manufacture to see what years the chip was compatible w/.

depending on the chip type its either a by-pass (fooler) or a direct
replacement...either way id disconnect the pcm completely from
any power source (batteries etc) before i went plugging and un-plugging
anything into the pcm.

I'd call Diablo tommorrow. I don't think it would do any damage but you might get stuck and need a factory re-flash.

Is it a "chip" or a programer? If its a chip it will run or not. Will not hurt the pcm if it will not start, just will not start.

Make sure the keys are out, and for good messure unhook the batterys too.
