i have a 2000 c/c and the chance to buy a set of infinity component speakers but they are 5.25" will they fit???
will 5.25 inch speakers fit a 2000

possibly, but i dont know about the rounds. In my 99 250 the 6x9 speaker cut outs behind the seat were not a true 6x9 probably 5x8. I had to trim the holes to fit 6x9pioneers back there.

The 6x8's are the direct fit for your truck but I'm sure the 5.25's can be worked in there somehow.
I've got 6.75" mid drivers in the front doors and rear factory positions...
they fit but require TRIMMING the sheet metal & the use of an adapter plate.
5.25's will fit, wont require any metal trimming...but you SHOULD use
an adapter plate to get a good solid mount & eliminate vibration.

My friend has a ranger with 6x8 openings and he installed a 5.25 pioneer seperates in his door without cutting. he just used a piece of 1/4" clear plexiglass about the same size as the opening and cut in the components. and yes the opening for the fullsize pick ups are 6x8.
itll depend largely on the speaker brand (or more accurately the
DEPTH of the speaker).
some speakers have a narrow/shallow frame...others use the entire area
(wide frame & deep magnet) 5.25" will fit fine, its the 6.5 & 6.75" speakers
that will need modification to properly fit.
both speaker sizes will require an adapter (if theyre installed properly)
