Hey guys, i was detailing the girlfriend's dad's excursion last night:hail and noticed he had some paint overspray on the windows from when he had it in the body shop. there were also a lot of hard water stains that wouldn't come off. i tried using a small amount of paint thinner on a terry cloth and it did an AMAZING job. the glass looks brand new, and all of the paint and water stains are gone! just wanted to share

externally that should be FINE...but be VERY VERY careful using
it on the inside...tinted windows should be an obvious NO-NO...
and even today SOME windshields are NOW laminated on the inside
as well as in the middle (windshields have been center laminated for years)

Buspilot is right, but for the outside i think i will have to try that. I have always wondered how to get that road scum off.

For fallout on exterior glass you can use super fine steal wool, just be sure to use either a small amount of glass cleaner or water in a sprayer.
If you find overspray on interior glass, the body shop your dealing with is horrible.
