wiring problem?

05 Excursion.

Lights won't work so I can't drive it. Park lights come on but no headlights. The bright light indicator comes on but there are no head lights. Checked all the fuses, all ok. Any ideas before I have to take it in to the dealership and spend a couple hundred?

I would bet you have one bad pole on your headlight switch. You should be able to swap it yourself, and save some money. The dash trim pops off and the headlight switch should snap into the back, then the wire unplugs. I cant remember for sure, but there might not even be any fasteners. Just clips. good luck-

Thanks for the help. Turns out the guy I bought it from put some head light bulbs in there that are burning to hot. Fried the ground wire in the headlight assembly.
