    a/c condensor

Done Well after much searching, found a website that lists capacities for freon and oil for the Ex. Replaced condenser and installed new reciever/drier, added four ounces of oil to account for the new components, pulled a vacuum and charged the system. MAJOR difference in cooling!!! Vent temps...

    a/c condensor

Hi all, I've got to replace the condensor on my excursion. While in the process, I'm going to change out the receiver/dryer also. Couple of questions that I have: 1) Where is the orifice tube located? I plan on changing it as well. 2) How much freon should I add? 3) How much oil should I...

    Gauge vendor and pod question

For gauges, pods, assembled kits, etc. check out Bob Riley at http://www.dieselsitetoo.com. Don't know how he compares to others as far as prices go, but looks like he has a pretty good selection. :burnit

    Gauge vendor and pod question

I have never ordered anything from them,(RPMoutlet), but I've read on other forums about people having issues with orders, i.e ordering a 30psi boost gauge and getting a 60psi gauge;then having issues trying to send it back. From what I read, most folks used them for price matching. Just my :2c

What comfort upgrades have you done?

As for the comfort thing, installed Rancho RS9000x and Landyot's Radius Rods, makes driving the Ex more fun; Dieselsite Heater shut-off valve and a pusher fan in front of condensor coils to drop the A/C temps on those hot Southern days, WeatherTech in-channel visors for a little "bling", and...

    External regulated fuel system

Hey guys, Have been reading up the last few days on a external regulated fuel system for my Ex. I was curious if anyone around here had one one their 7.3L and how they liked it. Also, is it worth it to purchase the kit, or can you come up with the items needed on your own and save some $$...

Preformance Replacement Turbos for 2000 7.3

Don't have any recommendations on the turbo, but get rid of the K&N and get a Tymar, AFE stage II, or Ford AIS intake if your going to spend that kind of $$. Oh, BTW, Welcome to SDD psi3000. Great place to be.

Driving across our great land on Friday 17 feb

Wouldn't surprise me if those vehicles were flooded during Hurricane Katrina and now they are headed elsewhere for some poor, unsuspecting buyer looking for a cheap used set of wheels.

    Which CPS is Best

If the one you got is only two months old, why replace it if it's working fine? I can understand wanting the "Best", but is there any hard evidence to truly say that one is better than the other? If so, I need a spare.

Man, I wish I could go. That would be a lot of fun. That is the same time my wife is going to Italy. So I'm home with the kids for 10 days while she touring Italy with her Mom and sister. Maybe next year.

    7.3 vs. 6.0

The tranny and T/C are the weak link in the 7.3 PSD. But that is not to say you can't mod your truck. If you want to help the tranny out, install a Sonnax/Tricumulator kit or an FTVB to help firm up the shifts, as well as a external tranny filter and cooler if planning on doing a lot of...

    Any Chemical Experts Here?

Hey Ron, Found this article doing a google search.www.shell-lubricants.com/products/pdf/IndustrialELC.pdf. I think that may answer your question about shelf life, but nothing on keeping moisture content at a set level. I'll keep looking; it's a slow night at work.

    Coolant Loss

I've had this issue with mine as well. Check the coolant level each and every oil change and it's usually down below the min. level line about 1/8-1/4 inch. Topped off and went on each time. Never had any leaks, no water pump issues, nothing to set off bells and whistles that something is...
