Well, I had the change done from the 4:88's to the 4:10's. What a difference in the rpm's. I bet I have droppd 600 -700 rpm @ 65 mph. The motor is now staying in the power range and I am certain I wll see a gain in mpg. It cost me $1,500.00 to get it done. I was initially concened that the truck wouldn't have the get off the line performance, but I really don't notice any change. Anyone know of anybody looking for a 4:88 set up with only 33,000 miles on it? Happy Holidays to all!:santa2

How is the reliability / durability of a 4.88 compared to stock? I am running stock gears on my 4WD '01 Diesel Excursion with 46" tires so I NEED to gear it.... :silly

You have front and rear or just rear?
