blow off valves????

so i dont know much about diesels, im sure theres a reason no one runs a blow off valve like the turbo gas engines. im just curious what the reason is. sorry for the newb question but i asked my buddy and all he said was, you just dont run one on a diesel. i just wanna know why lol.

No throttle plate to slam 20+ lbs of boost against when you lift the throttle.

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask, you'll never know that way.

hahaha. does anyone put them on the truck just for ****s and grins? like just to go "pshhh" lol. cause with no throttle plate theres no real mechanical benefit. but it would still sound cool.

with no throttle plate you'll never get it to open and dump boost, so it won't sound cool, it'll only LOOK cool...

Put a big free flowing exhaust on it and open up the intake with a good free flowing intake and do the wicked wheel, you'll forget all about wanting a blow off.

Install the Tymar style filter,Wicked Wheel and upgrade the exhaust to either a 4" system or BTM
