check engine light on

yesterday my 1999 350 7.3 th3e check engine light came on and it started to rough idle then it went off after like 5 mins then today i was drivin and it came back on and it is drivable but the idle seems rough . or in gas engine terms it seems like it isnt firing right thank for any help

First step would be to pull the codes. Could be a number of things but finding out what the Computer has to say would narrow it down a bunch. Some auto part stores will read them for free or someone you know might have a code reader..

or if ya know some one or have a programmer like superchips 1705 or bullydog power pup you can pull the codes... if ya tell us where you live there might even be someone close enough to come by and check em for ya...
