Code P0470 Exhaust Pressure Sensor Malfunction

Can sombody explain in english what this really means. i understand what is says. but i need a literal translation. and is this the same sensor that is used for the EBPV located at the front of the engine?

It's very possible that the tube that goes from the front of the pass. side exhaust manifold to the EBP Sensor is plugged with soot.

My tube had a hole in it, so I removed it, plugged the hole in the manifold and replaced the sensor with a dummy module to prevent the PCM from throwing codes.

so how does that work in the colder weather when your truck needs to close the back pressure valve for the extra heating?
