handle busted

any one know how to open a tailgate (97 f25 HD) with out the handle ?? is there some where to get a screw driver or pry bar in to flip the lock mechanism ? i just broke my handle & need it opened . thanx to all

IIRC....remove access panel inside the taigate....

ya , my quad is in the back , that's why i want to get it open . i don't want to leave it there for the week . i thought there might be some trick with a screwdriver or pry bar without wrecking the tailgate

broke a latch on one truck i had and if you could get your hands on the rods that pull the pins from the outside of the tailgate they open up
