I think "they" are the Over Educated, Politically connected, Hand Woven Offspring of the Hippies that moved out of the Bay Area.. and into the Trinities & Sierra's... after the Haight-Ashberry dayz.

ALL Cali drivers have had an additional $12.00 assessment (reimbursement fee, they call it) added to our yearly DMV fee's... because the State was fined a multi-million dollar fine by the Federal EPA.. for X number of "Bad Air Days".... Days that the Air didn't meet the [unattainable] "Clean Air" standards.... here in the San Joaquin valley*. (Not L.A., where you can Smell & Taste.. the air)

"They".. want us to not idle any engines while stopped in traffic, in a drive-thru or while picking up kids at school.. that kinda crap.. theze dayz.

Here in Arkansas just south of the states largest city we had 2 or 3 bad air
days this year, and it only happens when the temp gets over a 100.

Here in CENCAL.. we have "No Burn Days"... day by day. On certain days, we Can, or Can't have Fires in a Fireplace, or Wood Stove.. No Matter the Temps.. County by County... as determined by a local "Air Quality" Guru gal.

Sooo, that means: Say.. If you live on the North side of a County line/road.. maybe you Can have a fire. If you live on the South side.. maybe you Can't.

The prevailing winds/breezes are from the NW... or SE.

We need to check, day by day.. on the News @ 5:00 to see if we can "Burn" tomorrow.. or not.. County by County.
