Intermittent Hesitation

Looking for possible cause of very noticeable hesitation during acceleration and cruising, but not at idle. It only happens about half of the time it is driven. This has been going on for over a year. Never happens on the mornings I get ready to take in for repair! It feels like the power just drops off slightly and then returns like you are releasing and pressing the accelerator slightly every couple of seconds. The CPS has just been replaced with no effect on this problem.

Mine was a little more pronounced but it was the Injector Control Pressure Regulator.......covered under warranty......

Mine eventually died and wouldn't start back from the problem.

Some other possibilities are a loose ground wire, ICP sensor, and others have mentioned the throttle position sensor, oh yeah......and if you are nearing an oil change..........you might be foaming the oil........hopefully some of the SMARTER/MORE EXPERIENCED guys will chime in, but that's from my limited experience.

Check the easy ones first.......fuel filter, batteries connected and good........

I spent about $400 before finding the REAL culprit.
