Thanks Joe. I wish I had not gone to Calgary. It is a nice city, but it is just a City. Seen many Cities in my day. Should have explored the Rockies more. All in all, it was a great trip. My question to you fellow travelers: Why is food so expensive in Canada? Everywhere we went, it was 20% to 50% more than California and other states we traveled.

A friend of mine was up near where you were a few weeks ago and he was saying the cheapest thing he could fine was a $15 dollar hamburger.

That is the sort of prices we were seeing alover the Western part of Canada.

I know a fella from over next door (ob.net) that lives in far Western Canada and he talks about how expensive everything is up there. He and several people around him will cross the border into Northern Washington State to shop and buy fuel. A few weeks ago we were having a discussion about fuel prices down here. At that time, his fuel was the equivalent to like $5.50+ a gallon for diesel. It was like a $1.92 a liter at the time....... it is real expensive to live in Canada.....
