Hello all!
I am "lucky" enough to live in a TN county which requires emmissions testing. Got my letter last week to go in and have it done. I thought that my F350 met the exemption requirements, but figured something had changed.
Guy took a look at the sticker on my door and aborted the test. I squeaked by the weight requirement. Any vehicle under 10,500 lbs. GVWR has to be tested. Mine was 11,000 lbs. Of course, he did say that TN legislation was discussing upping it to 14,000 lbs.
I also asked him about the new diesel trucks/cars with additional exghaust filters and such. He told me that if it has an ODBII port, then that is all they are going to look for (at the present time).
