I need to install a power inverter to run some mobile business equipment in my '08 f-350. Does anyone know if I can run the cables supplied to one of the upfitter switches instead of having to run them all the way to the battery?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks Rich.
Where is the best spot to get thru the firewall? I am hoping to mount the inverter under the front center seat.
Thanks.

Not sure about the '08 but I think they are the same from the A pillar on back. Looking under the hood, I ran my cables down the back left corner. They run down behind the front wheel well lining. and then up through the floor under the passenger sill plate. From there I ran it under the front passenger seat to the center console. You can see a small bulge in the carpet next to the seat but I can't see it from my seat. If you want to use your upfitter switch to control the inverter you could use the switch to power a relay. Don't forget the grommets when you run the cables through any holes.
