Want to know some details on the high torque starter vs. the stock replacement. Price is the same. What are advantages and disadvantages of each.

The dbelectrical.com high tork starter is the cats *****. The high tork starter is a gear reduction unit, the stock starter is ok, but the high tork could turn the whole truck over. Go for the high tork, it is worth every penny. Be prepared for faster starts.

On both my IDI and Di trucks I have gone back to rebuilt stock starters. I am not saying that the DB one is bad but I have burned out or had problems with all the so called improved new starters sold on the net made in countrys that are known for growing coffee.

best damn starter there is for cold weather..and trust me..it gets cold up here..
