can any one tell me if theres an advantage to having no muffler ?? does it do anything other than just make LOUD noise ??

All of the powerstrokes in my family (but one) has been straight piped. But if you have the money go ahead and upgrade to a bigger straight pipe with a 4" down pipe

4" straight pipe isn't really loud, so it shouldn't pizz off the neighbors.

It helps let the neighbors know when you are coming and going. Especialy when you leave for work early in the morning.

By how much? If you have a 4 in MBRP, for instance, how much help will it be to replace that muffler with a straight pipe?

Dropped the the exhaust temp another 100 degrees.
You are saying that by removing my 4in MBRP muffler I can drop the exhaust temp from what I already have by 100 degrees?
