My 97 PSD seems to have a bit of a surge in its idle. When just sitting I can tell the engine idles up and down.....this idle variance is so subtle that no-one else would probably notice it. I can see the tach move, but again it isn't much but it does move. Any ideas?

how much idle variation?
100-200 rpms is normal, its part of all teh electronics and sensors talking to each other. all engines do it , its just all this electronics makes it a faster adjustment,
lots going on in the engine running process,

now if we want to talk points, plugs and carbs then maybe we could steady it out some but not near as close

I don't think it is even 100 rpm of variance.....just wanted to make sure it's not a problem.
