Next weekend I'm taking a trip to Texas and I am going to do my best to get #2 diesel along the way. Will most truck stops be selling #2? I know the Pilot station here sells it. Do all of them or is it just random ones? Flying J? Loves?

I'll be taking I-26 to I-20 into Atlanta. I-85 to Montgomery down to I-65 into Mobile. From there its I-10 all the way to Beaumont, Tx. Well, except for jumping on I-12 to skip New Orleans. Any help you guys can offer so I can avoid putting ULSD in the tank would be great.

I figure if I'm any level under half a tank and I see #2 on the sign it might be a good idea to go ahead and fill up just in case. Besides, I'll have to stop to let the dog take care of business a few times anyway. Poor thing has trouble keeping lunch down while riding in the truck. At least the eats it up so the stink goes away.

When you get into Orange which is not far from Beaumont. There is a Pilot that sells B20. Can't remember the exit off hand, but it is a big intersection with 3 different truck stops. 2 on the west bound side of I-10 and the pilot on the east bound side. It is on Highway 62 in Orange. Hope this helps

Truck stops sell much more #2 than RUG. You'll be able to get #2 really easy off any interstate. Relax! Now if you were looking for B100...that's another story.

Yeah, that's where the Pilot and the Flying J are. I know that there is a Petro on the Houston side of Beaumont. I'm not sure I want to try my truck out on bio when I'm on a road trip though. I would hate to run into any problems with such limited time. I planned on switching to bio once I got this road trip out of the way. I'd have people to call and wouldn't be far from the house around here if I did need something like a ride to Auto Zone. Thanks for that though, I wouldn't have remembered about those if you hadn't reminded me.

I figure I'll be somewhere between Atlanta and Montgomery by the time I need some fuel. Then, Probably Somewhere in Louisiana if I figured correctly. Actually, probably before since the trip is 1000 miles, I'll have to fill up at least three times I think. I've had a few and its getting harder to use mapquest to figure this stuff out if you know what I mean. Mobile maybe? I'll figure it out in the morning.

join one of the Flying J "frequent fueler" clubs (theyre free) and youll
recv a discounts everytime you fill up....spend more than 150 bucks
in a month and your discount per gallon increases...

some of their clubs (rv) even discount the propane...and the flying j's
have DUMP stations <if you need 'em>...if your a member of the rv club
you can use the dump station for free....

theres nothing to say you cant join mulitple clubs either...

very true. all of your major fuel/gas stations have diesel. Exxon, BP, Chevron, Mobil, Phillips 66, Conoco, Wilco-Hess, Sonoco.

Then you have all the big truck stops to choose from too. Love's, TravelCenters of America, Petro, Flyin J, Pilot, etc. plus all the little mom & pop stations that are out there along the way.

i wouldnt worry about it.

Many of the Flying J truckstops in Texas and other states still do carry On-Highway 500PPM Diesel Fuel in the Big Truck lanes,just check their Diesel Pricing link and the 500PPM will have it's own slot for it's availability

You think so? I haven't done a long road trip in it yet so I don't really know how far I can get on a fill up. Well its off to put in some fresh Rotella T and a filter. I'll have to check those websites out later and write down the info. Thanks guys.

aint no way. the most i ever got on one tank (29 gallons) was 405, bone stock. gonna have to fuel up at least once, maybe twice.
