water in backup lens

Both my rear tail light lenses have (had) a film of condensed water on them. Why did this happen and how to stop it in future. I think the backup lights are dim enough w/o further light diffusion from the water...plus the corrosion issue.

I checked everthing when I took it apart and mopped 'em out; I think water must work into the "sealed" lens assy itself, but is there a way to stop it?

Thanks!

well, they should be weatherpacked around the joint where the lens meets the bucket (maybe smear some gorilla snot on it) and where the sockets seat into the lens (should be able to get suitable foam from a craft store)...

Bama's solution works too...

The sockets are nicely sealed. I think it is the seam between lens and "bucket" or frame, or whatever the heck it is. I don't wanna drill a hole in it, I like the car wash too...

Can you get Gorilla Snot (R) at the local Wally world, JL? :D (I'll seal it)
