2008 center console installed!

Well after some assurances that my purchase wouldn't be in vain and that the newly designed 08 console would fit, I bought one. UPS delivered it Tuesday night and I had it installed that night. Let me just say that I love it, the extra space it has created is absolutely amazing. First off, as long as you buy as console with the mounting brackets you will be fine. All of the mount holes align perfectly with what is there already.

The console sits nice and level. The spacing in between the seats is right on as well. If you are thinking about this mod and you have the 40/20/40 seat like I had the new console is narrower than the jump seat by a couple of inches, but it does not look bad. It really makes the truck look like true captain chairs.

Now the medium stone color that you may read on certain ebay listings as almost a tan color and that it matches really well to the tan color interiors of the 03-07 model trucks is wrong. Pictures don't really do true justice to the coloration change between the two, but there definitely is one. You can tell that this is a gray console and not tan. I will be painting the sides this weekend to make it match and that is not a big deal at all. The sides and back are really easy to take apart.

You also will not need to worry about having to have armrest on your seats because this console sits up nice and tall and is at a great height to be used as an armrest.

Like I said before, I love this console and it was an incredibly simple mod for those of us looking for more storage space. That is really nice looking. Were did you find that console at. I am always looking for more storage space and something bigger to write on top of. Do you think it will fit with arm rests? I see in your post were you said that it sits up nice and high.

if you go look closely, his leather fronts did not have arm rest to begin w/...

and by the way, how come? i thought all fronts did buckets did and yours are leather too.......

can you post part numbers for all the piece parts plus some costs
I think that is a great way to ditch that silly liitle middle seat

that looks nice and dfeinatley sits up much taller than the stock center console! Looks nice, bummer it didn't match the interior!
