Water in Fuel

Just wondering sometimes when I get in the truck to start it the water in fuel light comes on and then goes right off. Never stays on for more then a couple of seconds. Is that alright. If is does come on and stay how do I drain the water to make it go off or were do I drain the water. Thanks

are you saying you have NEVER drained it ???

on the 7.3 there is a lever near the fuel bowl up on top
in the front/center of the engine...you should see a small
yellow handle on the lever...its the drain.

i gotta ask...whens the last time you changed the filter ?

Just changed the filter 2weeks ago. That is what that little handle is. Thanks bush.
