Ok, so i finally broke down and got a set of Warn hub for my '01. So I....

1) Pulled out the stock lockouts
2) Installed the hub assembly and lock ring (i.e. slid the old one out and new one in)
3) Screwed on the outer cap with o-ring
4) Did the other side
5) Locked both hub and jacked one side up. Tire turns
6) Switched it to free and it still spins. :rant

What did I miss??

Exactly - there is likely nothing wrong.

You have an open front end so when one tire has 100% traction the other tire will be able to spin forever

You just need to verify that the axle shafts are turning when you turn the tire by looking in the knuckle space at the u-joint.

Thanks guys. I was driving into work today when I realize what had happened and what I had asked. So much for there being no stupid questions. :sorry

But thanks to everyone who wanted to flame me and didn't.

Never known anyone to flame anyone on here. That's why I love this forum. And we have probably ALL asked what we considered a dumb question at 1 time or another. And there are NO dumb questions.....only dumb people. I can say that, I'm one of them HAHA. :D

NevrKnow is right. We don't flame anybody here. TDS does enough of that for everybody...
