I'm possibly moving to Seagoville TX later this year for work....or possibly Beaumont. How strict are they with the inspections over there? I got my truck inspected, well not really. They just slapped the sticker on there...I'm in Louisiana right now. Is there any shops anybody knows around there that isn't hard core on the inspections? Also, what shops do yall recommend for repairs? I'd like to get my truck dynoed as well, never been able to do that. Thanks for the advice.

Emissions would be the only thing I'm worried about with the straight exhuast and ccv mod. What all do they check for? I think here, they are "suppose" to check emissions, all the lights, horn, and windshield wipers.

My wife also has a Ford Taurus that the horn doesnt work...I want to get it fixed but it might take me a little while.Think I'm gonna have to replace the steering wheel but I'm gonna take it apart and check it out.

Thanks

There's a few places in houston you can dyno ur truck at, strictness on inspections vary, some places seem to make up their own rules on what is and not required for our diesels. One thing I could never get a strait answer was on tinted window on a crew cab, what's the darkest tint allowed on each window???? And how low can a eyebrow be on a windshield???

Darkest tint you can have on the front 2 windows is 30% tint...which ends up equating to 20% visibility on the meter they use. 20% is the max legal visibility you can have on the front windows. On the rear ones...you can paint them black if you so choose.

Eyebrow on a windshield cant go below the little line thats on all of them. Usually around 6-8 inches...
