    i checked on ebay, they sell 6.0/6.4 universal style chords for under $25 shipped. its doesn't have all the bends and attaching clips like the factory one, but for over $100 less that isn't an issue with me!

    i think the problem with trying to trick the computer by blocking egr flow with the valve still connected would be the computer doing whatever it does to the fuel trims when there is egr flow. I'm sure something in the fuel curve or something would be changing slightly when there is egr flow...
