2015 6.7 foam pre filter location

The foam filter side of the airbox is a bypass. It is meant to allow the engine to continue operation in the event of a primary filter box restriction. Many a superduty has encountered clog conditions while plowing snow, for instance. It's filter insurance. You could remove it if you want, but...

    aFe Dry Filters

There has always been a rigid divide in filter choices when it comes to diesel owners. My opinion is this. I personally don't drive my truck hard enough to warrant a need for an increase in CFM beyond what an OEM filter can provide. Seeing as in my case, a 6.7 crate motor is in the realm of...

    Check Coolant Additive Warning.....

I don't feel that is true Dave. I am on the s197forum and it is extremely active. I think JR hit the nail on the head though. These newer rigs are $40k-60k+ vehicles on average, with a crate motor price tag of almost $20k. Fooling around with that kind of money isn't an option for the majority...

    Check Coolant Additive Warning.....

Absolutely. Too bad SDD isn't very active compared to other forums. I had to search off-site for in depth coverage on the subject. :(

    Check Coolant Additive Warning.....

The link to supplies is no longer valid. Ford replaced the previous kit with this one: https://rotunda.service-solutions.com/en-US/Pages/searchresults.aspx?search=328-00008&remote=1

    Check Coolant Additive Warning.....

I copied this from ford trucks forum. The message should appear every 600 hours of operation. From: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1064454-check-coolant-additive.html You clear in in the INFO screen. Should tell you how to in the owners manual. Also, here is how to test your...

    Good read

http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html Haven't seen an AC Delco filter for the 6.7 but I was disappointed not to see Motorcraft on their list. This isn't new news, but actual data gives people something to absorb vs. opinionated bashing. I've run a K&N filter on my '08...

    Looking for Feedback

I bought my 2013 F-250 XLT from Ford in Billings, MT this last June. It used to be a rental truck out in PA somewhere. Had 39,000 miles on the clock when I drove it off the lot. Has 45,000 now. Only thing I've done is changed the oil (Motorcraft 10w30 SD & Filter), fuel filter set (motorcraft)...

    Driving & Towing 5th wheel

I bought a 250 to do the job you speak of. Be fearless, get air bags. Also nothing wrong with a 350. I got a great deal on my '13 F250, the 350's were just not in my price range, i didnt want a $500+/mo payment.

    New Owner! SDD First Timer

Yeah I know the 3.31's are tall but the truck is only going to tow 1-3% of its life. Also, I'm aiming for max 16,000lbs combined vehicle weight. I only need a trailer for work, to replace the cost of hotels. I would prefer a 5th wheel but I want light and 4 seasons. It would also be preferable...

    New Owner! SDD First Timer

Hey fellas, recently acquired a 38k/mi 2013 F-250 XLT 6.7 PS w/3.31 gears. I am green to the diesel world but not to fords or wrenching. I also have a 2008 Mustang GT on a ProCharger D1SC. I live in Las Vegas but am a Pipefitter/aspiring welder and recently started traveling for work. After...
