I had my idler pulley replaced 3 years ago under the aforementioned TSB by my Ford dealer. Since that time, the chirp got less frequent, but that could be because I lived in FL. When I took a trip to the north, after sitting overnight, the chirp returned.
I had Ford replace my idler pulley approximately 2 years ago under the tsb. The chirping noise continued, but not as much. It only occurs when it is reasonably cold outside, and goes away after a short warm up. A new belt and tensioner might be the answer, but at what cost.
I have a job 1 2008 F250 4x4 w/93000 miles mostly highway driving. How many miles can I expect to get in a real-world situation from the particulate filer, before replacement. When I do need this, what is the best way to replace it; new, rebuilt, used etc.
