Wondering about your EGR delete... Read check engine light will stay on, if deleted, is that true? Is it necessary?

Mine is an 03, and the 03 and 04 doe not show an EGR Check engine light. My EGR Valve is still present and connected to the wiring. The 05+ will need an EGR Delete tune to kill the CEL.
