Some a-hole jammed a screw driver under my door handle today and unlocked my truck! Great design!! Anyway, I don't leave anything in my truck worth stealing so they didn't get anything. Anybody know some tricks to fix this? I have a real nice ding in the door now.
Yesterday I was driving back from Louisiana and I noticed that my wipers were acting funny when I slowed them from max back to intermittent. This morning they worked fine for a little bit but then they messed up again. Now I have the lowest two int. settings and wide open.
Any one else had...
I have a 2008 Fx4 and pulling a 30 foot travel trailer in the texas hill country, mine will hit 34 to 35ish on steep long hills. I checked my milage (not by the computer but by gallons to filol and odometer reading) and I got 9.8 mpg. Not too bad! A gasoline 4x4 pulling an equivalent load...
Cool! I grew up in Bay City. Graduated from Bay City high school in 1975. I have been up and down Matagorda 1000 times in my life. My truck has 275 70 18's on it. From what you are saying, I shouldn't worry then. Thanks man!
That's a geat Beach!!!!!!
Ya, being a tight wad like I am, I think I'll just keep her out of the soft stuff until I wear a little more off the stock tires. My F150 was marginal in the sand until I put some 12.5 x 33's on her. Then she did good. Fj still would kick her butt though (in the sand)!
Did your truck do ok in the sand with the stock rubber? My Continentals have too much tread to throw away. I am going to put 33" x 12.5" on when its time. I run the Texas beaches alot. Just got rid of a 07 4wd Fj Cruiser (the ultimate beach buggy). I've drug more big 4x4's out with that...
OK Thanks Smokey. I appreciate all of your help. What you are saying makes sense. I give in and pay the stealership. I must say though, I have driven Fords since my first one back in 1975 when I got a 1965 short wheel base with a 300 six and a four speed. Mean truck! I drove that truck to...
Still looking
I looked where you suggested but no luck finding a "sticker". I did find on the bottom of the 1/2 doors a number stamped into the steel. It starts with SC and then followed by 5 numbers. I tried it but didn't get a result. Maybe I did it wrong or maybe it isn't it. SC seemed...
Hey Forum,
I used you to decide on this truck. Bought it for $31k. Didn't have a scratch on it and clean as new. I love this truck. Runs great. It has a keyless entry but I don't have the factory code. All I can use it for is to lock the truck by pushing the last two numbers! I heard...
