Help Needed Still starting troubles
:dunno, Our truck still has starting troubles, new glow plugs, relay and now a IDM, from the stupid dealer who said it was the problem and it wasn't. Has to be plugged in no matter what the temp outside, when it starts it idles really rough for about a minute, dies then on a re-start idles fine...- bikerbarbie

Starting trouble
I think you're right We plugged the heater in all night and truck started right up this morning. So off to replace relay!! Hopefully that's it. PCM is very expensive in comparison. Sure shouldn't have to plug it in at these temps. Our Haynes manual says relay at back is glow plug relay, but...- bikerbarbie

Starting trouble
Hi Everyone, We are having some trouble in the morning only. Truck turns over, idles really rough for some seconds and dies, does this a few times. Temp is around 60-70F, if its plugged in for an hours or so it starts up, idles smooth and runs great till the next morning, does it all again. new...- bikerbarbie

Thanks thanks for the input, as it turned out the new starter was no good. It was blowing the starter motor fuse. I guess fuses would be a great place to start. Did it twice and got the new starter tested and found it to be no good. Thanks alot- bikerbarbie

hi, maybe this is stupid and something simple, but our 03 F350 Lariat 7.3L, is dead today, no roll over no sound, just nothing at all, lights and gauges, batteries appear good. 2 days ago it got a new starter, we travel up and down this horridly holey dirt road maybe something has come loose...- bikerbarbie
