    While at WM, I keep seeing the 5 quart jugs of MC 15w40 for 11.50 each. I'm thinking if I go back to the MC 15w40 and purchase the MC oil filter I can do the oil change in my 2002 7.3 for around 46.00, not bad. I am now using the Delo 15w40 with no complaints, and no complaints with the MC 15w40...

    My truck (2002 F350 7.3) also likes the Delo more than the MC or Rotella. On the 7.3 Forum, under the Rotella 15w40 at WM tab, it is mentioned the Delo is a semi-synthetic 15w40, I didn't know that.

    While in WM today, I saw the 2 1/2 gallon jugs of Rotella 15w40 for 22.00, who knows I may switch from Delo back to Rotella.

    I agree with JL and Bad Night, I have always poured about 2 quarts through the large threaded hole in the oil filter.

    I was on another diesel website and was reading about Filling/ Not Filling Oil Filter During Oil Change. I have always filled my oil filter before installing the oil filter when changing oil. I was surprised to see many do not, am I wrong to do this? bot:dunno

    Warm up

    My 2002 F350 has the same warm up (Hi- Low idle) normal procedure. When warm, engine runs great smooths out. I guess diesels don't care for the colder weather until they get to operating temps.
