both my trucks have chipping/discoloring/wasting away oil caps. figured its was just heat and age breaking down the plastic. Guess I should replace them. Anyone have a coll billet oil cap or something other than stock?
Not sure what your mean by extending the link like on mine. We just bolted mine on as was. but yeah I can cut the links and reweld them with a oversize diamater piece
If the tips if the stack were 'slash' cut instead of 'turn downs' it would look better. Little more clearance to the running board would be a plus. Nice use of leftover parts though. old school hotrodding at its best.

Hey Bill,
Gimme a holler and I'll give you a hand with yours if you give me a hand with mine. I have a sonnax/tricumulator kit to deal with too if your up for it. FYI, I'm STILL waiting for those overload spring snubbers. Been 1 month and 1 day plus about 10-12 long distance phone calls...
Maybe my wife stands on the go pedal too much;) I occassionally catch her looking out the side mirror for the smoke when she's 'merging' onto the highway :thumbs
Well, it didn't work out quite as I had hoped. After placing the order on Fri morning the 18th. They did not arrive until 5-31. Upon opening the box, they shipped me part number 9.5156 not 9.9156. I rec'd sway bar bushings for a 3/4 " sway bar. After 4-5 phone calls about it I...
I hope its right too. They shipped yesterday so I'm told (though I ordered them on Fri morning). Not sure, but maybe the dirt/gravel road going to the cabin in the Arkansas mountains is harder on them and results in premature failure:confused: . We're going back up there Thurs afternoon, so...
Thanks
I found those on the energy suspension site but I couldn't find a dealer that had them. Put the order in today so maybe they'll arrive next week before I head to the mountains for the holiday.

I've been telling my buddies for a while if they automakers could make a small diesel to fit in a 1/2 ton truck that got close to 30 mpg, still tow and haul reasonably, they'd sell every one of them. Texas is king of trucks. I know I could not live without mine.
