Thinking you might be onto something there Joe. I went and disconnected the cruise control sensor on the master cylinder, then put my amp meter on and everything looked normal. Started plugging compenents back in and amps stayed normal. Ended up with everything back on incl. the cruise...- Brad B

Nope nothing new there Dave, it's had the trailer wiring on it since i bought it. I'm about to go out and check the wiring on the master cylinder. From what I've been reading it could be a short there on the cruise deactivation circuit. Past that I'm going to have to assume it's in the wiring...- Brad B

Thanks for the reply. I already took that switch off and bypassed it. Same thing happens, soon as you make that connection on the brake circuit the fuse pops. Also tried disconnecting the ABS module in case it was bad=no luck. Disconnected the 3rd brake light assembly=no luck, too out all...- Brad B

Stuck in park and blowing fuse
96 7.3l keeps blowing dash fuse #13 (15 amp). If I put in park I have to replace the fuse to get it out of park. Even with it in neutral, as soon as you touch the brake pedal the fuse blows. I've unplugged the VSS and ABS module and still get the same results. Obviously a short somewhere...- Brad B

Well for the time being they aren't critical. And they could actually be working, it's just that those 2 connectors looked the worst out of all 5. However, I don't understand how I could lose power and performance even after warm up? Help out on understanding that please. Thanks- Brad B

Ended up going withe the repair kit which was a breeze to swap out. Anyone know what the wiring schematic is for those connectors? My two outside contacts are in terrible shape and was just wondering what they controlled. Truck runs great so I'm guessing they aren't injector wiring. Assuming...- Brad B

Thanks Patrick. I know that it can be indicative of a problem underneat the VC's but I'm really strapped for cash and time now so I'll probably just fix the one external pigtail. About to head to town and see what I can find local before I order anything. With my fuel spewing episode last...- Brad B

Valve cover wireing connector
Well got the new return fuel line on today and discovered that the two outer pins on one of the valve cover connectors are melted. Anyone replaced just the connector or is it a situation where you have to buy that whole harness? Thanks!- Brad B

Alt. isn't an issue. Took the AC off it's mount but it didn't really help the access although I can see the problem better. The pedestal that he the AC sits on is really the obstruction but it's bolted all into the block it looks like with the vac. pump and stuff in the way of getting it off...- Brad B

Well I guess Patrick was right. The rubber hose that leads from the driver's side head tot he FPR has a nick in it and I'm assuming that's where the leak is. Now I'm having an issue getting the lowe end of that hose off. It's crammed down behind the bracket that holds the AC compressor and...- Brad B

No it's not that. It started right after I jumped on the hwy. and got on the throttle pretty hard so I guess it overpressured a weak spot in a line. I could see it spraying up and it's coming from right where the two oil lines go to the HPOP. Looks like there is a fuel line running crossways...- Brad B

Yes but the new ULSD is almost like water it seems! Try to use it to light fires with and it seems like it takes a blow torch to get it going! Sure has made a mess of my engine compartment too, dreading tackling that today.- Brad B
