Is there some place else I can move it from the rear of the head. Can't control the heat effect on the seal, leaks are the problem.:dunno
Oh! It's a 99 (early)F350 7.3, 6 speed MT
First clutch was replaced at 64K due to low pedal and chattering. Clutch looked OK but it was out and not going back in. MC and slave finally solved to pronlem. Fork was not replaced, had to add machine screw to hold the fork on the ball pivot. Chatter is not so bad unloaded.
Pedal height is...
Replaced the clutch 2 years ago but chater has been getting worse for a few months. Trying to back up the 5th wheel is almost impossible. It bucks so bad I think somthing will brake.

Oil Leak
I had one of the small (#5 o-ring) plugs leaking and filled the valley. Clean with carb or break cleaner use a mirror and a strong light. plugs are close to the valve cover's top or inside edge.
Good luck

My son is trying to talk me into puting a propane system on my 99 F350.
The truck is used mostly for towing our 30' 5th wheel. He has a 29 gal "vapor" tank so I think this limits me to a Powershot system. I get 18.5 MPG empty and 11-12 towing now. Any feedback will help
:thanks
Dave
It worked..
Thanks for the help.. I removed one plug, cranked it over a few times and replaced the plug (with a new o-ring). Drove it for about 15 miles and my powerstroke is back:hail .
I installed the clutch and didn't see anything wrong with the lever. The MC rod moves as soon as you push...

It took a lot of cranking to get it started, and it was rough running for a few mins. Haven't had it on the freeway yet. I'll bleed it first.
:thanks

After replacing some O-Rings and the rear plug to the HP oil gally on the right head, I have lost some low end power. Seals on the fuel deliver line were also replaced. Do I need to bleed somthing? Had the batteries out for a week.
Also has a low clutch pedal (clutch is new) any ideas

Thanks for the info
Will be in LA next week and looking for the seals (not much in Prescott AZ) Also going to replace the clutch, turn the rear rotors and fab a heat shield for the fuel delivery line (right side) next to the down pipe.
:sweet
Working on my 99 F350 (11/98) found what looks like a leak at the fuel delivery line at the rear of the right head. Ford is asking $72 for the line and another $70 for the fitting (one way valve). Is it possible to replace just the O-Ring or should I just buy the line. Ford wont sell the O-Ring...
Hot oil?
Temperature of the oil may have caused the failure. I've seen Parker hoses fail (blowing the fitting off the hose) when the plastic inner melts down.
