    Climate Controls issue

I've had the same thing happen twice now as well, months apart and fixed it the same way, shut off the truck, wait a few seconds and restart. I hadn't taken it into the dealer because I can't recreate the issue on demand and I just expect them to tell me to bring it in when it fails...

    Extended cranking question

Does it start normally when cold, if so its probably related to the oil pump but may be the Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) Valve. The truck will eventually fail to start at all and as already advised its a pretty long day to change the pump out so I'd get it diagnosed before it doesn't...

    2nd belt 14000 miles 06 6.0

The dealer changed the power steering pump pulley. Its been several thousand miles since and the noise (chirping) hasn't returned.

    2nd belt 14000 miles 06 6.0

In the case of my buddies truck, his is a completely stock Harley. However, the dealer did change one of the pullies and so far so good. It was several months ago so I don't recall which pully was changed.

plug (near power point) behind dash

I'm fairly certain its the PAD switch (passenger side airbag deactivation) Logging into the ford dealer site provided this attachement. Sorry for the poor quality, my PDF writer is a bit buggy at printing diagrams.

    Oil consumption

Your dad and I probably went to differnt schools together,:sly because that's exactly what I experienced. And I prefer "lovin it" instead "get used to it" in reference to my freakin fantastic Ford.:)

    Oil consumption

Fill up the oil and check the gas :D or, how many miles do you get to a quart?

    Oil consumption

That was my thought as well but I'm approaching my second oil change at 8000 Kilo intervals (5000) miles and don't appear to use enough to notice. On the other hand, every Chev I've owned and they've all been diesels, used some, usually about a litre between oil changes. There doesn't seem to...

    Oil consumption

How much oil do you use between changes accepting that there are no leakes. This is my first Ford and with my GMs I was always about a litre down come oil change time. I used to use that as a yardstick, oil down 1 litre, good, everythings normal. Anyway, this truck doesn't seem to use any...

    Cat or Muffler delete ?

I read that line about the MRBP cat delete not fitting the stock downpipe but Bushpilot and shadow grey were adamant that it would fit and I took them at their word, picked one up at our local diesel shop. Took about 25 minutes but most of that was getting the cat out, bit of a PITA since it had...

    Air filter monitor

I have to admit that it was a bit perplexing and my initial thoughts centred around the heater fan motor until I turned off the fan and then shut the truck down. Of course the noise was still there so curiousity got the better of me and I opened the hood to pinpoint the sound. Of course it...

    Air filter monitor

That makes perfect sense given what the sound is like and I was hoping the minder would move closer to the filter as mine hasn't moved from the resting position at all and I was beginning to think the filter was restricted and the minder was telling me to change it out. However, I will probably...

    Air filter monitor

I know this reads like a diesel tech 101 questions but is the air filter monitor a reliable means of determining the time to change the air filter or do you guys just change it out in a preventative maintenance fashion. Like every second oil change? Also, and this is going to sound a bit...

    wheres the torque

You got to roll up to it, slow like, and use inertia for help to bump up over the curb. Get her cammy to prove her point and after she's high centred you can go get your diesel and yank her off. :sly

    Diesel vs Gas 07 F-350

Never owned a gasser. Opened up the hood on one, saw all those wires to something called spark plugs, closed it right up again, lifted my leg and broke wind on it. Diesels inspire awe in the eyes of young and old. Real men don't want spark plugs, just sayin.....:D Besides I always enjoy...
